Hi, I’m Fred Sokolow. Maybe you know about me from some of my instructional books and DVDs. Jim and I have put this website together because there’s an overwhelming and mind-boggling amount of stuff out there on the web about the guitar. Some of it is very useful and helpful, and some of it is confusing. So we thought it would be helpful to break it down into categories, and also pick out the best sites which, in our judgment, are the most helpful and the most useful. So that’s what you are going to get. You are going to get the “cream of the crop” of all things that are out there plus the new things that we have created to help. Some of the things we are creating include guitar tools such as the guitar tuner, the chord dictionary, things like that. And there are all the other categories that you see listed there.
I don’t know if you discovered us through your iPhone button, Google, an article, or word of mouth. We just hope that you keep coming back, and give us your feedback because this is a dynamic website that is growing and is meant to help everybody. There’s so much out there for guitar on the web that it’s really helpful, for me anyway, to break it down into different categories. Sometimes you go online looking for guitar instruction. Sometimes you want to sell a guitar or buy one, or learn something about how to take care of your guitar, how to play a song, or the history of other great guitar players.
